My goal with this room design was Easy ACCESS!!!
We started with a room that is approximately 20'x20'. This is too much space to actually move around in efficiently. I made the space more "compact" by pushing the "L" shaped desk closer to the existing cabinets.  If you're considering building a room, or remodeling a room, try to think about the efficiency of your movements.  Keep in mind that the easier it is to access your tools and materials, the more likely you are to use them!  To view the pictures in a  LARGER format, just click on them.

The room is 20'x20'.
We wanted to make
it smaller so we moved
the desk in closer to
the cupboards.
We added a shelving unit
at the end of the desk to
hold the ScrapRack,
Paper Storage Boxes
and Chipboard.

Cupboard doors have to
go, so I put on my tool
belt,grabbed the drill, and
 down came the doors
Removing cupboard doors helps you
see everything, get to everything, and
you won't be tempted "stuff" things in.
Next we picked our paint colors.
This was my favorite part. We ate a
few tootsie rolls too (that's another
favorite!).

My mom designed the flowers
and painted.
I followed her designs and
painted.
PJ ate snacks, supervised and
then napped.

We added some fun sheer curtains.
I initially set up a single base unit...
but then decided a double was going to be needed.

The messy process of putting things
away.
Loaded ScrapRack and Paper Boxes
     Chipboard on the bottom shelf.

These IKEA hanging baskets added
space under the cupboard.
I added a couple more hanging
baskets under the desk.
This rolling cart from Target will
be perfect for "must have" supplies.

Baskets from Michael's fit perfectly on
the shelves and will hold stamps.
I hung my paper trimmer at the
end of the desk.
Rolling tote filled with all the things I
use every time I scrap.

Hanging Paper Trimmer
This is a "close-up" of the "purse"
hook I used.
"T" square stashed under
the desk.

"T-Square" tucked neatly under
the supports of my desk.
Inside the cupoard, a couple of
labeled Punch drawers. You
can't quite see the numbers.
My Flower Pot cart of basic
pens and hand tools.

The whole room put together.

It's Me!  Inspired to Scrap in
my cute clean space!
